Because nothing is more gossip inducing than a Hollywood fallout that has a fairytale ending, along with its very own Prince Charming.

The notorious split that happened over 20 years ago even resulted in Prince renaming himself to an unpronounceable symbol (yes that’s possible) and walking about in public with the word slave written on his face. Prince has explained his once odd behaviour saying, “But if I can’t do what I want to do, what am I? When you stop a man from dreaming, he becomes a slave.” he told Rolling Stone magazine in 1996.

Even with their rocky past, a new deal that Prince is happy with will see him regain ownership of master recordings made during his previous deal, a brand new studio album and a release of his famed Purple Rain album in time for its 30th anniversary.

“Everyone at Warner Bros Records is delighted to be working with Prince once again; he is one of the world’s biggest stars and truly a unique talent,” said the label’s chairman and CEO, Cameron Strang.

Will we see history repeat itself with this record or will Prince make his Warner Bros comeback?
