Sipping Tea With The Queens Of RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7 At The Los Angeles Premiere Party | drag race

Last night, Wednesday, February 18, 2015, PopWrapped was on the RuPaul's Drag Race Season 7 Premiere Party red carpet. *silently fangirling* To put this in perspective for say, someone who follows "sports", this was like the NFL Kickoff Concert. I follow Drag Race with the fervor of a fantasy league pool. (I should really start one of those.) So after meticulously researching their bodies of work on YouTube and inspecting their aesthetics on Instagram, I came to the carpet with some faves and some flops in mind. I figured I'd give some of the queens an opportunity to answer one simple and gratuitously promotional question:

"What makes you POP?"

Trixie Mattel:

My hyper feminine realness! On a scale of 1 to 10, I'm always on 11! (If you aren't aware, Trixie's humor is obviously tongue-in-cheek.)

Burt Reynolds. Any era. Give him to me and I'll pop. (He must have been like the David Hasselhoff for Russia...)

Ginger Minj:

I've got hips and ass for days! (Repping Orlando Broadway Brunch, later singing live on stage!)

Mrs Kasha Davis:

Box wine, any color. (This married woman is sure to remind you of just that: she's an International Housewife Celebrity!)

Tempest DuJour:

My heart, I love to be there for people and give advice since I am like the mother of the group. (As you can see from the picture below, she was throwing LITERAL shade, giving me 8-foot-tall Dame Edna!)

Miss Fame:

(She had no words but pointed to her lower half and let out a single tongue-pop. We got the point!)

Kennedy Davenport:

My look! I think I bring something different. (Judging by her history and performance on the Premiere stage, it'll be her HIGH-KICKING, PONYTAIL-TWIRLING, SOMERSAULTING DANCE MOVES! She had Shangela and Jasmine getting their LIVES!)

Jasmine Masters:

What makes me pop off? BS! (I knew that would be her answer, and if you don't here's why.) I was also lucky to have a moment with the host for the evening, the incomparable Shangela Laquifa Wadley. "Hosting this gig makes me pop!" she mentioned, and then gave me a lesson in enunciating her full name (which if you don't know, is pronounced as ONEWORDREALLYFAST). I informed her of the fact that it's my choice phrase to use when lip-syncing! We then began tongue-popping incessantly until they ushered her away. Good times. Inside fans, family, and stars gathered to see RuPaul introduce the season 7 premiere. Of course it was "ovah the top" from the queens' introductions into the workroom to the cliffhanger left by the potential elimination! Afterwards we were satiated with performances by each queen, from lip-synced classics to live singing. Miss Fame bringing Xtina's "Vanity" out of the catacombs was one for us loyal Bionic fans. Jasmine Masters gave us Patti-LaBelle-medley realness, complete with shoe-kicking! Even Jaidynn Fierce who, due to inclement weather missed the party but made it in time to close out the show, gave us a Britney megamix!

Tune in to Logo TV on March 2, at 9:00 PM to watch!
