Nintendo's Treehouse event took place today, and along with it came the news that the highly anticipated Smash Bros 3DS
would be available, right now, for "select" Platinum members.
Worry not, however, as if you're not one of the lucky few, you will be able to get your hands on the demo next week. The full game launches in Japan today, September 13th, and will be available on 3DS in North America and Europe on October 3rd (you Aussies will have to wait just one more day for your chance to play).
The demo will be available to everyone on the 19th September
, but if you're one of the selected members, make sure to check your emails. Nintendo has been generous and given you four codes to share with your friends, so you can have a proper punch-up.
After Japan got its hands on the demo, news was exploding out of the internet's ears with details such as secret characters and hidden easter eggs. If you want the full experience though, it's probably best to stay away from the internet for a few weeks.
There's still no word on the Wii U release date of the next instalment in the Smash Bros
series, but we've been promised that it will be no later than December.
Are you excited to get your hands on some more Smash Bros goodness? Let us know!
