Saturday Night Live has been on air for 40 seasons now, and what better way to kick off their season with host Chris Pratt!

Star-Lord will host the season premiere. Chris Pratt is one of the three hosts announced this season along with the sass master Sarah Silverman, and Peter Venkman, also known as Bill “FREAKING” Murray!

Is it just me or does anyone else have the biggest nerd boner right now? Star-Lord, Vanellope von Schweetz, and Venkman on SNL – what’s not to love? I wonder what hoops did SNL jump through to nail this lineup? It’s packed with star power!

The only thing that would be better is if Star-Lord walked out with a Proton Pack, Venkman with orange headphones listening to the infamous “Awesome Mix 1” cassette, and Vanellope covered in Stay Puff marsh mellow goo… Hey it can happen! This is SNL we’re talking about!

In addition to this fantastic lineup, they have musical guest Arianna Grande, Maroon 5 and Hozier. Expect an awesome official announcement from NBC soon.
