We previously reported
that Saturday Night Live will be doing something very special for its 40th anniversary - a live, three-hour show to commemorate four decades of the world's greatest sketch show. They have just dropped
a whole bunch of names on us, and I am not alone in saying this might be the most impressive list of guests ever assembled...anywhere. Ever.
So far, the over four-dozen celebrities appearing will include Emma Stone, Justin Timberlake, Derek Jeter, Jimmy Fallon, Paul McCartney, Chevy Chase, Kanye West, Adam Sandler, Melissa McCarthy, Will Ferrell, Robert De Niro, Tina Fey, Paul Simon, Jerry Seinfeld, Molly Shannon, Steve Martin, Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy (who confirmed his participation last week), Jack Nicholson, Amy Poehler, Jim Carrey, Peyton Manning, Dana Carvey, Dan Aykroyd, Chris Rock, Alec Baldwin, Taylor Swift, Garrett Morris, Andy Samberg, Christopher Walken, Maya Rudolph, Tom Hanks, Martin Short, Betty White, Bill Hader, Jane Curtin, Jon Hamm, Laraine Newman, Zach Galifianakis, Seth Meyers, Jason Sudeikis, Paul Rudd, David Spade, Kerry Washington, Fred Armisen, James Franco, Kristen Wiig, Norm Macdonald and Bill Murray.
The best part? The list is only set to grow, as SNL has confirmed there will be many more guests appearing.
The three-hour 40th anniversary special will air on February 15th at 8PM on NBC.
