How.....am I supposed to deal with what happened!?
Yeah, I know it's the final season and I need to be prepared for things like this, but after all of the fake outs, I was pretty sure THAT wasn't going to happen.
Shall I stop speaking cryptically and get right to it?
Last night's (Nov. 4) episode revved up the tension leading into the final 4 episodes of the series by offing one of the beloved members of SAMCRO.
With the odds stacked against Bobby over the past 2 weeks, one would wonder what else could be thrown at him. He had his eye gouged out, his fingers cut off, and was kept as a hostage at the mercy of Marks' and Moses. With Jax putting a plan in motion to get him back, things were looking up.
Jax finally came through for Bobby and handed over (pieces) of the pastor and the videotaped blackmail. When August emerged with a badly beaten bound and gagged Bobby, it seemed the Pope protege had finally come through on his word.
Except he had one last lesson for Jax:
Don't blackmail him.
Unbeknownst to Jax, August had hidden a gun in Bobby's back pocket (hence the gag), and when August turned Bobby over to the SAMCRO president, he pulled out the gun at the last second....
And put a bullet into Bobby's head.
Just writing (and reading) those words hurts.
BOBBY. IS. DEAD.
Jax reeled from the tragedy, as Marks left with his arrogant head held high.
It's really hard to articulate what else transpired in this stellar episode, but here goes.
Abel continued to act out, giving his grandmother enough attitude to last a lifetime while Nero still campaigned for Gemma to move away with him. The other whopper of the episode came in the form of Juice and Gemma's lies.
With Juice (falsely) identifying the Chinese in Tara's murder, and Gemma's going along with it, it appeared they may have finally struck some luck and cleared her. However, Jarry kept digging and discovered the man they fingered as Tara's killer was NOWHERE near Charming that night. He was arrested in Vegas, and the charge was kept off his record. That's why the club didn't find anything on him.
Jarry approached Wayne with this information, and the former police chief seemed pretty shocked that Gemma and Juice had been lying. Although, maybe not THAT shocked.
Anyone else feel that Wayne's putting 2 and 2 together?
The damage wasn't done, however.
Reeling from the reveal that Bobby had been killed, and prior to the club burying him behind the cabin, Gemma took a few minutes alone with her old friend to apologize for her role in his death. She confessed to not being able to have known all of this would happen. Once again though, prying ears was privy to her confession as Abel stood behind listening to her break down over Bobby's death and her inadvertent role.
How long now until Abel tells Wendy?
This episode was an emotional rollercoaster and I'm still not sure I'm completely over what happened. It's been a long 7 seasons....
1. I'm not alone in not caring about Rat & Brooke right!?
2. The fight scene between Jarry and Gemma was AMAZING and I wanted more. It did surprise me however, that Jarry would slap Gemma. I imagined she would have been the punching type.
3. I still think Baroski is the rat.
4. Indian Hills officially has SAMCRO in their sights. After killing Jury, things could turn much more internal for the club.
5. Was getting Marks arrested really the smartest idea? And it also didn't help that Moses saw Jax and Chibbs, who made no secret of their presence. Moses is going to be OUT FOR BLOOD.
6. Juice in solitary is going to MESS with Jax's plan.....
What did you guys think of the episode?
