The Amazing Spider-Man 2, starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, will be launched in the UK on April 18 and in the US on May 2. But Sony isn't stopping at only two movies. Sony co-chairman Amy Pascal says: "We are expanding the Spider-Man universe into the Sinister Six and Venom, so that we have Spider-Man movies every year." Marc Webb has been confirmed as director for the third Amazing Spider-Man, due to his connection to hit cinemas on June 10, 2016 in the US and May 27, 2016 in the UK. Sony Pictures had revealed back in November that it intended to expand the Spider-Man franchise by focusing on Peter Parker's foes, with two spinoff films planned. The 'New Spider-Man film every year' is said to begin en force in 2016. But does this mean that Andrew Garfield will continue to play Spidey? He's let on that he's 'less than enthusiastic' to be in a fourth movie. He's also claimed that his contract only allows one more movie after the second Amazing Spider-Man and, when asked about the fourth movie, Garfield said: "That's not anything to do with me. But yeah, I think what we're doing here is we've established the world. And now we get to really play inside that world." Perhaps Garfield is only saying that because he knows it would get him a pay raise. He knows it would be stupid to replace him as Spidey, and he's pulling all the strings he can to get more money out of it. What do you think? Are you excited for more Spider-Man films, or will it cross over into the overkill zone? Let us know in the comments! Keep Up With PopWrapped On The Web!
