After several appearances by musicians in Game of Thrones, with the latest being Ed Sheeran, Sophie Turner who plays Sansa Stark in the hit fantasy series revealed which music star she wants to make a cameo next. And surprisingly it is not her boyfriend Joe Jonas! Wait, why isn't it him? Sophie's pop star of choice is none other than Justin Bieber!
Sophie Turner Accidentally Spoiled Sheeran Cameo For Maisie Williams
Speaking to ET at Comic Con in San Diego about the Sheeran cameo, Turner said, "That was fun because Maisie loves Ed Sheeran and [Game of Thrones Showrunners] David [Benioff] and Dan [Weiss] had it as, like, a surprise for her...So they just, they didn't tell her. I told her by accident! I was like, 'Oh, when's Ed Sheeran coming on the show?' But yeah, they kind of did it as a surprise." Then she added, "I was kind of mad because I've been talking about [Justin] Bieber coming on the show for a while now. But it's fine, I'm over it."
Turner has been asking for Bieber appearance for a while now and so far no one has listened to her. How would a Bieber cameo go down with fans of the series? Sheeran's appearance had a mixed reaction, and while Bieber may have a huge following, he does receive a ridiculous amount of hate.
Sophie Turner Compares Bieber To Joffrey
Don't forget that Bieber has been compared by fans of the show to Joffrey Baratheon, arguably the most loathed character in Game of Thrones. In fact, there is an entire Tumblr page dedicated to this idea. It is a comparison not lost on Sophie Turner. Previously she has said that "Justin Bieber' .. is the Joffrey Baratheon of our time.” Makes one wonder why she wants him for a cameo though?
Which Dead Character Would Sophie Turner Bring Back?
Speaking of Joffrey, it appears that Turner wishes he hadn't died, even after all the bad things his character did to hers. But, she did give a good reason though. “I loved working with Jack Gleeson so much, I have to say Joffrey,” Turner answered during the Game of Thrones Comic Con panel when the cast was asked by host Kristian Nairn which dead character they wanted to revive.
To be fair, her choice does have more to do with the actor than his alter ego. Which may prove to be the opposite for Bieber, who he is may prove to be a deterrence to his cameo. But what do you think? Yay or Nay? Would you like to see Bieber on Game of Thrones or some other musician?
