At long last, the film adaption for Stephen King's A Good Marriage
has a movie trailer! The movie is expected to be released both as VOD
and in the theaters on October 3. That's just in time for Halloween.
Stephen King was hired to adapted his novella A Good Marriage
into the screenplay, while Peter Askin was signed to direct the film, which stars Joan Allen. For those unfamiliar with King's story, it's about a woman who uncovers 'that her husband of 25 years has been living a terrifying double life'.
The trailer seems to capture the essence of the story. Creepy is a very good word to describe the video. Using unnerving lighting and cinematography, we first take on the POV of a person stalking a woman. Viewers then seen a plastic-wrapped woman and a weeping man. We're then transported to an idealistic time with parties and trips. Happiness, right? Wrong.
The murdered woman is shown on television. The wife sees. Later, while in the garage, she finds a box with the same woman's driver's licenses in it and her suspicions rise. With the end of the trailer, there's a terrifying montage of clips and voice-overs. It all spells trouble and terror.
Will you go see the film? Does this look like a hit for Stephen King? Sound off below!
