Popular HBO series True Blood is headed for the grave after its seventh season this year, but that may not be the last fans see of the cast. Stephen Moyer, who plays vampire Bill Compton onscreen, recently spoke to Examiner.com at the Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival about True Blood’s future. When asked what fans should do next summer when they no longer have the show to entertain them, Moyer replied, “I'm not sure about the summer of 2015, but if things go the way I'm hoping there will be something to watch in the summer of 2016. We'll have an announcement about that... soonish.” As vague as it was, that simple reply has since sparked various rumors—the biggest being that True Blood may have a movie in the works. However, a rep from HBO recently popped the rumor bubble by denying any plans for a spinoff, film or otherwise. According to the International Business Times, production on the show’s final season began last week. Moyer directed the first episode, and its casting sheet was recently leaked (which means quite a few spoilers are floating around). The show will wrap this summer with ten episodes. Have faith, True Blood fans! After all, the Entourage movie is actually happening—years after its final season.
