We all know Steve-O. That one-of-a-kind personality that likes to have his permanent residence on the wild side with a vacation home in the realm of sanity. We can’t say we don’t love him for it. We’ve all seen him in Jackass and laughed ourselves silly.

But sometimes even the most hilarious stars go a little too far.

Steve-O is facing charges of vandalism and trespassing from the California Highway Patrol. The CHP announced their intentions to charge the star on Thursday after Stephen Gilchrist Glover scaled a freeway sign to let everyone know that “Sea World Sucks.”

Steve-O did not deny his May prank. In fact, he posted a video about it, claiming, “I’m putting my foot down for Shamu.” The star is an animal rights activist.

It took him multiple attempts to scale the interstate sign in broad daylight.
