The hit BBC drama Sherlock has already had its fourth and fifth series “plotted out” according to co-creator Steven Moffat. While speaking at a screening for the series three finale, “His Last Vow,” Moffat reassured the fans that they were already thinking ahead to future episodes of the show. “Rather excitingly, Mark [Gatiss] and I, for no particular reason, we just got out of the rain and sat at the top of the [Sherlock] production bus and just started plotting out what we could do in the future. And we plotted out the whole of series four and five,” says Moffat. Moffat adds, “So we have got plans - but our plans don’t tend to be, ‘Let’s blow up the world or cast the most famous person in the world’, they tend to be ‘What exciting twists and turns can we add to this?’ And I think we’ve got some crackers.” In my opinion, focusing on the story rather than the star power is the way that all shows should go. He goes on to say that the ideas that him and Mr. Gatiss had that day were the best ones that they have ever had. The show has not officially been confirmed for a fourth series however that is expected to change with an announcement soon. Scheduling for a fourth series could also prove as a bit of an issue due to the growing popularity of the leading gentlemen, Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman. It sounds like there is a lot to look forward to in the world of Sherlock. The show will wrap up its current season on January 12 at 8:.30 p.m. with the series three finale “His Last Vow. Check out the trailer below! Enjoy Sherlockians!
