Rumors have been flying around that another Indiana Jones film is in the works and that they might be casting a younger hero. Steven Spielberg doesn't think anyone can play the hero other than Harrison Ford. BTW, I feel like I've been the resident Harrison Ford writer recently, no complaints here. [Editor: we're not complaining either, Erica! Keep the Ford love coming!!]
Spielberg said, “I don’t think anyone could replace Harrison as Indy, I don’t think that’s ever going to happen. It’s certainly not my intention to ever have another actor step into his shoes in the way there have been many actors that have played Spider-Man or Batman. There is only going to be one actor playing Indiana Jones and that’s Harrison Ford.” I have to agree with everything this man is saying. TBH, the thought of someone like Shia Lebouf playing Indy is just ridiculous. However, I was not pleased with one part of The Crystal Skull so I hope if we get more Harrison Ford we also get a better movie.
These men aren't getting any younger so we will be needing to start a new Indiana Jones sooner rather than later. Do I want to see Ford again in that role? Hell yeah! I'll never get enough. I'm over here spending most of my waking moments hoping Billy Bob Thornton will get to play Lorne Malvo for Fargo again. So...too much is never enough.
