It’s a crossover made in nerd heaven! Millie Bobby Brown, the actress who plays Eleven in the Netflix hit Stranger Things, has expressed interest in playing a young Princess Leia!
While there are no plans for a Leia prequel movie, the 12-year-old recently expressed her interest at Rhode Island Comic Con when asked what roles she’d love to play:
“Princess Leia. If they made – I think they are making another Star Wars – I would love a role like that. Because I want to do something far from Eleven or Madison.”
Madison is Brown’s character in the 2014 BBC drama Intruders. In addition to Princess Leia, Brown also admitted to wanting a role on The Walking Dead. Here in the present day, viewers are anxiously awaiting season two of Stranger Things, where Brown will once again be a regular, though Netflix has not yet confirmed in how many episodes she will appear. The new season will take place a year after Season 1, in the fall of 1984, and, though the actual release date has yet to be announced, nine episodes have been confirmed for some time in 2017.
Recently, the Stranger Things Facebook account shared an upside down photo of the cast reuniting for their first table read of the new season, as well as unveiled the episode titles:
“The Boy Who Came Back To Life”
“The Pumpkin Patch”
“The Secret Cabin”
“The Lost Brother”
Season 2 will focus on the mythology of the Upside Down and the bigger picture behind the disappearance of Will Byers. Joe Keery (Steve) and Noah Schnapp (Will) have both been promoted to series regulars along with the characters you already know and love.
