Supernatural fans have a long wait ‘til season 10 debuts on October 7.

Luckily for them, the well hasn’t completely run dry, as the cast has remained very candid up to this point about tossing little juicy tidbits to ‘em regarding the upcoming season. Most recently, Misha Collins (Castiel) revealed quite a bit of news regarding his Season 10 role transformation, including how his relationship with both the Winchesters and Metatron will change.

At the Jus in Bello Con last May, Collins revealed that Cas isn’t going to be responding to Demon Dean all-too-well, despite it meaning that his best friend’s death prognosis after being ganked by Metatron was bogus.

“I think that Cas will react when he sees Dean… [by being] happy that Dean’s alive and he’ll be sad that he’s a demon,” Collins stated at the recent convention.

Furthermore, Collins had a bit more to say about the season, this time regarding a vendetta with Metatron that’s about to become personal.

“It’s been a great storyline and there’s more of it to play out in Season 10,” he reportedly said, “But the cliffhanger, I can tell you, going from Season 9 into Season 10 is fantastic.”

It’s also worthy of note that during an interview with IGN, Collins declared Supernatural’s fandom as the #1 greatest reason for its success and continued survival a decade into things: “I don’t know what the secret to our success is. I think it’s largely our fans. We have an incredibly devoted, loyal group of fans who love the show, and I’m sure that we’re where we are because of them.”

It has recently been reported that both Castiel and Crowley will be elevated to regular status when Supernatural returns this October, meaning we’ll be seeing a lot more of everyone’s favorite TV angel than ever before soon enough!
