It looks like the drama surrounding Paula Deen as of late is just getting worse.

Last week, there was a legal deposition that was leaked involving Deen and a police officer that was questioning her in regards to a racial and sexual harassment lawsuit filed against her and one of her restaurants.

In the deposition, Deen admitted that she has used the N-word in her past but doesn’t use it as much anymore because, “things have changed since the ’60s in the South.”

With that admission, despite how long ago it was, Paula’s partnership’s with Food Network, Walmart and Smithfield Foods were all severed. And now, Target seems to be joining in as well and will begin to immediately phase out all Paula Deen merchandise, in stores and online, and will not be replenishing inventory.

Paula is also connected to QVC – they have several restaurants that are themed around her. QVC appears to be reviewing their relationship with the chef and the restaurants will be re-branding in the upcoming months. 

The feelings involving how everyone feels about Paula’s admission seem to be all over the board. There are many people of all different ethnicities and races that are fully against her and others that are with her and think she shouldn’t be punished. 

Deen has taken to Twitter and has appeared on the Today show this week where she has expressed her thanks for the support that she’s getting and continues to plead for forgiveness regarding her comments.
