Taylor Swift Starring In A Spy Movie? It Could Happen

Taylor Swift dipped her toes in the acting waters back in the 2010 film Valentine’s Day and the 2012 animated film The Lorax. It looks like she may be looking to go back into the acting world as she’s reportedly been offered a role in the new Matthew Vaughn film The Secret Service. The film will be based on the comic of the same name about a secret agent (to be played by Colin Firth) who takes his nephew (newcomer Taron Egerton) and trains him to become a super spy.

Swift is rumored to be playing a young woman who escapes after being kidnapped by the film’s villain, who will be played by Samuel L. Jackson. According to the Daily Mirror, a source from production said that Swift was a “natural” on screen.

“Matthew looked at a number of actresses to play the part before settling on Taylor. She’s also someone fresh and unseen in Hollywood terms which was massively appealing,” The source said.

For the role, Swift would be required to undergo intensive physical training in order to look convincing enough in the role of a character with martial arts training.

It’s said that Swift is also very excited about the idea that she may be able to work with David Beckham, since he is one of the many big names rumored to be attached to the film. Along with Beckham, Adele, Sir Elton John, and Sir Michael Caine are also rumored to be signing deals to appear in the film as well.

People shouldn’t get their hopes up just yet, though, as it is all just rumors at this point. Fans should probably wait to hear from Swift herself if she’ll be involved in the film before getting too excited about her appearing.

The people at 20th Century Fox, by which the movie will be produced, are hoping to have the movie out and ready to be in theatres on November 14, 2014!
