In less than two months, Supernatural is going to be back with brand new episodes.
We all still miss our boys of Team Free Will though, and the CW has decided to ease the pain.
They recently released a promotional image for the ninth season.
In season nine, viewers can expect a backdoor pilot for a spin-off series along with a more “character-driven” story arc with secondary characters. This will probably include angels adjusting to humanity.
Showrunner Jeremy Carver said about season nine: “We’re doing a lot more B and C stories than you’ve ever seen from the show before, and we’re really maximizing the new position that some of our favorite characters are finding themselves in.”
Carver also said about the bridge between season eight and nine: “The decisions [the characters] made at the end of last year are really causing a tremendous amount of fall-out, and that includes Castiel as well. Those decisions are going to propel them into some even greater and deeper and scarier decisions at the beginning of this season, that are going to have far-reaching, very personal consequences for our brothers.”
It sounds like there is going to be a lot of interesting drama in the upcoming season.
We can’t wait to see it!
Supernatural returns on Tuesday October 8th at 9pm.
