Amanda Seyfried is among some of the lucky stars who have been able to work alongside Family Guy creator Seth MacFarlane. Amanda Seyfried is set to star in Ted 2, the sequel to the raunchy film about a man and his teddy bear best friend, who comes to life as result of a childhood wish made by Mark Wahlberg. Sources confirm she will be taking over for Mila Kunis.

Macfarlane announced on Twitter that Ted 2 is set to hit theaters April 3rd, 2015.  Ted writer and director talked about moving forward with a sequel to his film at ComiCon last year. Deadline has reported that Seyfried will be the female lead, and that Kunis will have a “tiny role, if at all.” in the new film. Kunis and Macfarlane remain close friends, despite his choosing to replace her. Ted managed to become the highest grossing R rated comedy, making a total of $550 million at the box office. Rumors about a sequel began making the rounds after a very successful first weekend, and now we will get to see the return of Ted in 2015.

Amanda Seyfried is not only beautiful, but also a fantastic actress, and I can’t begin to think about what her role in Ted 2 might be like. Seyfried is also starring in Macfarlane’s new film, A Million Ways To Die In The West, which comes out in theaters May 30, 2014.
