Space Station 76 premiered on March 8 at the South by Southwest Interactive Film Festival (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. The comedic drama, directed by Jack Plotnick, goes around a group of people and robots living in a space station in a 1970s version of the future.

After a new Assistant Captain arrives on the space station, she accidentally arouses tensions among the crew. As anger, lust, jealousy suddenly rise to the surface, the darkest secrets of the crew members are triggered. The drama that unfolds at the space station parallels the danger outside as the crew has to deal with an approaching asteroid that is heading straight at them!

Space Station 76 stars Matt Bomer, Patrick Wilson, Liv Tyler, Jerry O’Connell, Kylie Rogers, Marisa Coughlan, Keir Dullea, and Kali Rocha. The screenplay was co-written by Rocha, Jack Plotnick, Sam Pancake, Jennifer Cox, and Michael Stoyano. Edward Parks, Dan Burks, Rachel Ward, Katherine Ann McGregor, and Joel Michaely produced the film, and Niraj Bhatia and Frank Mele serve as executive producers.

Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions recently announced that they have acquired all international rights to the movie. Domestic distribution rights were previously secured through Preferred Content.
