With season 2 of Fargo coming to a close this week, we thought it would be fun to take a look back some of the amazingly epic moments from season 1.
Spoiler alert: Billy Bob Thornton will be in most of these, along with his dark comical genius.
So, let's take a look back at the Top 7 Epic Scenes that made (and continue to make) Fargo phenomenal!
7 - The Elevator Scenehttps://www.youtube.com/embed/zk6FShZBUB4&h=500
This moment marks one of the darkest scenes of the show. Yet, it’s also humorous and pulls the show full circle. By this point, we can all agree that we hated Lester (Martin Freeman). The way Lorne (Billy Bob Thornton) pulls the gun and then shoots without looking is magnificent.
6 - When Lorne Was Pulled Over By Gushttps://www.youtube.com/embed/y-Dp0QogUI4&h=500
First off, Gus (Colin Hanks) is the worst cop ever, but in this moment, Lorne shows his true Jedi powers. “These aren’t the droids you’re looking for!"
5 - Pearl’s Deathhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/lXCuZ93_XTQ&h=500
Sorry this clip isn’t the greatest quality, but this moment is important! This is the moment where everything Lorne put in Lester’s head comes into play. Lester turns a corner and our story really begins... turns out the little coward was always evil.
4 - Wrench & Numbers vs. Lorne In A Blizzardhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/ZOdYtNdawTE&h=500
This scene is amazing! We don't know how Lorne escapes and manages to kill one of his attackers, but it’s Lorne, so all things are possible. Looks like their little trap didn’t work as well as they thought it would.
3 - Lorne Malvo Taking Out A Whole Building By Himselfhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/brYkhF2GOvA&h=500
This is one of the coolest ways to shoot a scene. All we get is the sound, with no idea what’s actually happening inside. This scene proves that Lorne was invincible, and he does it all with the FBI right outside the building.
2 - Lorne Malvo’s Deathhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/p1CMnQYxL9w&h=500
This is not a scene anyone wanted to see, but the story had to end. Lorne Malvo gets one-upped by Lester and mangled with a bear trap. He retreats from his mission to help his leg, but Gus is there. What we learned in this scene is that a US Mailman can kill an unarmed man without giving that man a fair trial, and even further, he could be awarded for bravery. Seems legit. But the important thing here is Thornton’s acting and the fact that in the end, he even turned Gus into a killer.
1 - The Frank Peterson Interrogationhttps://www.youtube.com/embed/FT3E2sdDXbo&h=500
This scene is one of the funniest moments of the show! Watching Lorne act so differently is priceless. He was so evil and creepy until he had to turn on the sunshine to get out of jail free.
