Fans of the scandalous Raymond Reddington and Elizabeth Keen rejoice! NBC has renewed The Blacklist for a 4th season, less than two weeks after the winter finale aired. Jon Bokenkamp, the show creator himself, broke the news during an interview on the best podcast ever, The Blacklist Exposed!
Bokenkamp explained that, “We knew about that a while ago, it’s one of those things that’s hard to keep quiet. But yes, we’re renewed through the fourth season."
The show will return from its winter break on January 7th, with a two part episode, the first of which is titled "The Director". It looks like James Spader and Megan Boone have a lot more work left to do in order to clear the Blacklist, or whatever Red's endgame might be. We also have the rest of the third season have more of our questions answered, as well as finding out how they handle Boone's pregnancy. My mind has replayed the scene in the boat over and over after the announcement. But before that even happened, they put a lot of emphasis on the fact that they made love below deck, so who really knows what is going on with her pregnancy.
Who else excited about another year full of pressing questions and mystery? Soon, I'll have my own board, with yarn connecting all the dots, to try and figure this show out.
