Whatever happened to our cast? Terry Jones has confirmed with sources that the surviving members of the Monty Python crew will be coming together for a stage show.
On November 21, 2013, the actors will appear at a press conference in London. Among those in attendance will be John Cleese, Terry Gilman, Eric Idle, Michael Pain and Terry Jones.
In an interview with the BBC, Jones said, “We’re getting together and putting on a show – it’s real. I’m quite excited about it. I hope it makes us a lot of money. I hope to be able to pay off my mortgage!”
The Monty Python cast has been getting together for the past 30 years, and talk has circulated about a new show for months. But it’s all been pretty secret—until now!
Just last year, Cleese revealed that the plans for the reunion were put on hold, and that fans might have to wait a little while. Thank goodness it’s finally here!
He said that, as far as getting the gang back together, almost everyone is on board!
“The truth is I don’t think any one of us knows what’s going on. Terry [Gilliam] rang us about 18 months ago and said, ‘If we make this movie and I direct it, will you do a voice for it?’”
“As far as I know, everyone said yes, and that’s the last we heard about it.”
