The Comeback may just be living up to its name.
The HBO series ran for only one season in 2005 before being cancelled.
Friends alum Lisa Kudrow played Valerie Cherish, a sitcom star attempting to revive her failed acting career with a reality show, and Kudrow even earned an Emmy nomination for the role.
She and producer Michael Patrick King may have plans to create a new season of the show.
“Every time we get together for lunch, we’re talking about, ‘OK, so what would happen next?’ So we are talking,” Kudrow
said during an interview on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
King told Entertainment Weekly back in February that the two had been reflecting on Cherish and where her character might go if the show were revived.
According to him, a second season would involve “Valerie getting what she wanted and what fresh hell that would be.”
“We care so much about Valerie and the work that we did that, in hindsight, felt so edgy. Lisa and I have been amusing ourselves, and maybe somebody else might be amused in the future,” he said.
Stay tuned, Comeback fans!
