What a wacky night of witchy verve this week's episode was! Written by Ryan Murphy himself, it was hilarious, gruesome and involved the whole cast so everybody got their hands dirty... First of all, Queenie wanders down some creaky looking stairs at an abandoned train station. Underneath the railroad she passes some writhing drug addicts, a random rat scampering about and some empty bottles of booze. Some old weirdo approaches her and threatens her with rapey language while unzipping his pants. Queenie being Queenie grabs a plank of wood with some nails sticking out and stabs him voodoo style. Cue the mystic whooshing noise as Zoe and Madison appear in the shadows, interrupting Queenie's death blow. Zoe urges Queenie not to kill an innocent man for Laveau and the voodoo tribe but to come back to their coven instead. Queenie refuses, claiming that the man is far from innocent - he raped three schoolgirls ("that we know of, probably more") - and Laveau is looking for a "dark heart". Queenie then rips out the man's heart and holds it up to show Zoe and Madison. It still beats, which is totes rank.

Queenie: "Voodoo. Witchcraft. This town ain't big enough for the both of us. War is coming. And you're gonna lose." I must admit, Madison has a point when she goads Queenie in this scene about ditching the coven because girls were being mean to her. Then again Queenie doesn't have the best judge of character... She tried to seduce the Minotaur, she let Fiona trick her into killing Myrtle and now she's let Marie Laveau trick her into torturing and killing. Then again, Laveau has apparently promised to increase Queenie's power with dark magic. Which sounds promising. Except that if we've learnt anything from Voldemort and horcruxes, it's that Queenie crossing over to dark magic will probs just end in tears and more death. After the credits we're with Fiona, who's once again transfixed by her own reflection in a nearby mirror as her voiceover talks about the cancery pain she's in.

The physical pain can't compare though, she waxes lyrical, to "the pain of telling your own child you're going to die". Cut to the following classic Delia reaction:
Image Courtesy of Price Peterson/tv.com Image Courtesy of Price Peterson/tv.com
Her actual words were: "Do me a favour... die before Thanksgiving so none of us have to suffer through that mess of raisins and styrofoam you call stuffing." Ouch, Delia. Ouch. We then get a little snippet of a scene between Axeman and Fiona smoking in bed together (gross), dreaming about running away or something. Did anybody explain why Axeman has an actual body now? I thought only his spirit was released from the house? Or can spirits chose who they become visible to? *somewhat confused* Also, Fiona - what's the point of having chemo if you're gonna keep smoking? Not actually sure why she's still having the chemo if she's so certain she's gonna die anyway. But yeah, cancer sucks. Poor Fiona. Fiona: "I'm not scared of dying I'm scared of this. The constant pain and the ugliness." Axeman: "Ever considered making it stop?" Fiona: "No. I wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction of killing myself. I'll stay alive just to spite them." Just your average lovers' chitchat. She also tells Axeman that the only reason she's getting so sick so fast is that the next supreme is coming into their own. Fiona just needs to figure out which one it is. Any ideas, folks? I wanna go for the underdog and say it's probably Nan but I'm secretly hoping it'll be Delia! Fingers crossed it ain't Zoe cos she's super annoying.  Patti LuPone is back! And she's a cruel cruel bitch in this episode. She's dabbing at the gaping wound on her son's back (umm I think that might need some stitches) and decides to go all religi-freak when he tries to tell her the witches saved him from the zombies. So his mother tells him he's unclean and needs a bleach enema. Say what? She then pours powdered bleach and hot water into a hot water bottle and hands him the tube it's attached to which he supposedly inserts into himself and... well... eww. This season is totally all about the terrifying mother figure! I feel very concerned for all writers involved.

Nan can hear his cries of pain as she runs to meet with Zoe, Madison and Delia next door. Nobody seems to care though, they've got bigger fish to fry (or witches to burn) I guess. The coven is getting pretty kick-ass. And so is Delia! They even have a "battle plan" that starts with killing Fiona. Oh and Queenie's now dead to them, according to Delia (whose walking cane has becaome a pretty lethal looking hook).

Delia instructs them not to let Fiona know that Madison is back. She's also perplexed by the disappearance of all her staff. LOLs. DING DONG. Someone's at the door. And we're so glad it's Misty. She tells Zoe she needs the coven to help her as she's been through a terrible ordeal back at the swamp! It seems she was sleeping peacefully in her bed when she heard a noise and awoke! A newly healed though muddy Myrtle was looming over her rambling about a man with a gun who'd stood on her face. Oh no! Just when she'd finished telling her tale, the hooded dude burst in and started shooting. Luckily our fave duo escaped in time as he was only able to shoot up the bed-spread. Praise Stevie.

Back at school, Delia teeters out to see what all the commotion is and reaches for Misty's hand to get a glimpse into her soul. That's how her new sight works, right? Anywho, she sees that Misty got burned alive, etc. and immediately wants to be her friend. Join the club, Delia.

Yay the coven's gained a new gal! But she's not alone...

We love Myrtle Snow! And so does Cordelia! She's got her fake mum back, yay for her. Myrtle immediately sets about proclaiming Misty Day as the new Supreme. Cos... y'know... resurrection is the most difficult of all the witchy tests. Sounds legit. Misty looks chuffed! The others do not...

I also just love that in this scene they're all chatting away whilst Misty obsessively gardens in the background. How's she gonna cope without her swamp? Up in Zoe's bedroom, Monster-Kyle is looking a little less monter-like whilst trying to learn how to form actual sentences using a toddler app on Zoe's laptop. Madison interrupts them both with suggestions of a sexual nature, and Zoe tells her to jog on, basically, so that Kyle can learn how to rejoin society.

"The Sacred Taking" is some kinda ritual that permits the ascension of the new supreme. It's like a graduation party, only weirder. And the newly re-formed ladies of the coven pull on their "smelly" dress robes to initiate step one of the "kill Fiona Goode" plan, participating in this sacred taking event. Before they begin, the girls bicker over who they think will be the next Supreme... Zoe seems disappointed it's not her, Nan seems to be confident it could be her and Misty tells Delia she doesn't want to be the Supreme. Delia reminds everyone that being the Supreme is a burden, not a gift and nobody gets to choose... "When Fiona dies, whoever it is, will be." Then they begin the ritual. It involves lots of talking, breathing on each other, and bleeding from the index finger. Turns out for the ritual to work the current Supreme has to sacrifice herself. Madison: "Does nobody see the flaw in this plan? D'you really expect that narcissistic bitch to kill herself for this coven?" Delia: "Not without a push." Mmhmm... Watch out Fiona! We flick to Fiona's ensuite, where she's vomiting and looking pretty worse for wear. Then she hears some funky music and hobbles back into her bedroom to see Madison dancing away in a bright red ballgown. What the hay?

So part two of Delia's "kill Fiona Goode" plan involves some serious mindfucking. And a touch of Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Madison tells her she'll burn at the stake tomorrow or she can swallow a bunch of pills and die tonight. Fi Fi ain't too happy with either option so pulls out a case and starts packing. Myrtle interrupts to remind her that leaving isn't one of her choices. Oh but Myrt, why shouldn't she be allowed to go on a terminal Grecian vaycay with her new beau? Because, Myrtle responds, "You'll die the same way you lived, alone and disappointed by everyone." She also shows Fiona that if she stays with Axman he'll only get bored waiting for her to die and leave anyway. Boohoo.

Eek. What will Fiona dooooo? Kinda don't want her to die. But also dying to see who will become the new Supreme. #Dilemmas Out on the staircase, Madison and Nan partake in what might be my favourite conversation of the season so far... Madison: "[Fiona] thinks I'm the next Supreme." Nan: "Why can't it be me?" Madison: "Because... You have no style and your pits smell like fish sticks." Nan: [to Zoe and Misty] "Do you think I could be the next Supreme?" *Awkward Silence* Nan: "You guys suck balls!" Genius. Nan then storms out and goes looking for Luke, the boy next door. She hears him screaming and eventually finds him trapped in a closet. (No jokes plz this is serious.) Back upstairs, Myrtle holds Fiona's mirror for her while she "prepares the corpse". Fiona then starts getting sentimental. "Look after my beautiful Delia," she tells Myrtle. "My most terrible failure. One that'll torment me for all eternity I imagine." Then she slugs down all the pills and, dressed in a fine fur coat, she lays herself down on the bed. "Make sure they hang my portrait in the place I chose. Don't let them store me in the basement with that disgraced Russian witch." Then she closes her eyes as Myrtle takes her leave (not before stealing all Fiona's jewellery into her purse, of course... LOL).

Just when we think it might be the end for ole Fi Fi, guess who rocks up? Spalding! That wily devil... He convinces her to swallow a spoonful of ipecac syrup so she can throw up the pills, by telling her the coven lied about Madison being the next Supreme. Oh noes.

I mean.. we kinda knew she wasn't gonna die tonight but hey that was a cool lil speech anyway Fiona... Back in the tortuous world of Delphine, Queenie approaches her cage. Delphine: "Is that a Jumpin' Jack with cheese I smell?" No Delphine, that's Queenie. Jus' kiddin', it is a Jumpin' Jack with cheese. Marie tells Queenie off for "feeding the animals". I feel torn cos we know Delphine did evil things so I guess we shouldn't mind evil things being done to her but daymn two wrongs don't make a right! An eye for an eye, yadda yadda yadda... After Queenie walks away, Delphine starts mouthing off to a highly unimpressed Marie. She thinks marie will just shove her back underground eventually because she can't die. But oh man, that's just boring according to Marie, and there's plenty of other options. Like chopping off random body parts for the hell of it.

Back in the LuPone house of horror, Nan and Luke are making hurried plans to run away together when his mother stops them at the foot of the stairs, "I made you, I can unmake you!" Oh snap. Then out of no-where a sniper (AKA Delia's husband) takes down Patti and Luke gets shot trying to shield Nan. Aww just when things were looking up for Nan! Damn that Delia's husband AKA the world's worst witch hunter! Looks like Nan ain't the Supreme after all as she fails to resurge (resurgify?) Luke. Back at school the rest of the witches are all chilled out listening to Myrt play piano, being a chilled out uber-coven, waiting for Fiona to die... When oh my days, Fi Fi pops up behind Delia and asks where on earth "is this gifted little swamp witch everybody's been talking about?" Well it turns out she's apparated from the chair she was sitting in and has rocked up next door, watching the policemen chalk up the crime scene.

Fiona walks in and gets the policeman to tell her what's happened. He neglects to mention Luke so maybe Nan's run away with his body? Or maybe Misty's already revived him? Anyway Fiona wants to see Misty's magic in action so tells her to bring back Patti.

Cordelia's outside and senses that something's amiss as Misty brings Patti back to the land of the living. It's her husband! Except we're not sure that Delia knows it's her husband but she definitely senses that it's a witch hunter who shot down the house! It weren't no robbery! Fiona rolls her eyes as misty collapses after bringing Patti back.. Infinite LOLs.

Awwww then Zoe goes back to her room and Kyle (who's been practicing his words on that app this whole time.. bless him) gives her a big hug.
GIF Courtesy of Tumblr GIF Courtesy of Tumblr
He says "I. Love. You." Which probably took him ten hours to learn. Zoe replies with "I love you too" which isn't as impressive. Camera pans to Madison lurking in the ensuite... She's crying and doesn't seem too impressed by either of them. Oh pesky threesome, haven't you gone ary. MADISON NEEDS A NEW LOVE INTEREST. Down in the kitchen mother and daughter have a cheerful little exchange! Fiona tells Delia she's proud of her now more than ever as she's brought the coven back to its former glory. Delia jests that she should have tried to kill her mother years ago if that's all it would have taken to win her approval. They laugh and drink their coffee. Then Delia proposes they team up now that Fiona's probs gonna stay alive for a while! They need to protect the coven together. Yay a heartwarming family moment. Fiona also notices that the servants appear to be missing.

KNOCK KNOCK there's a box at the door. Wonder what's in this one? Fiona brings the box inside and opens it on the dining table as Delia walks in. Why hello there decapitated head of Delphine! "Helllllppp," she wheezes. Umm. Somebody will need to fill Delia in.

Witch Weekly:

Cordelia was my fave this week I don't think you can top her "fuck it let's murder bitches" mentality in this time of coven crisis. Also, the killer cane. Also, the ability to make hot drinks despite total loss of vision. I applaud thee, Cordelia Foxx. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gxaBXqi0FOM http://www.Twitter.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.tumblr.com http://www.SoundCloud.com/PopWrapped http://www.Facebook.com/PopWrapped http://www.Instagram.com/PopWrapped http://www.Pinterest.com/PopWrapped http://www.YouTube.com/PopWrapped https://pop-wrapped.wordpress.com http://www.PopWrapped.com
