You get a full season! You get a full season! You get a full season! Everyone gets a full season! Good news, CW fans! Your favorite network is giving Oprah a run for her money, having given every single new series a full season orderThe Originals was basically guaranteed a full run, given the tremendous success of its companion show, The Vampire Diaries. The decision to give the same to both Tomorrow People and Reign was, however, a bit of a surprise. Expectations were that Reign would certainly meet its end, while Tomorrow People was a toss-up. From what CW president Mark Pedowitz has said, it sounds like the decision to extend these shows was based more on potential and capitalization on the network’s steadily building momentum:  “In just a few seasons, we have built a much stronger primetime schedule. Our on-air ratings are up year to year, and our digital viewing continues to grow exponentially. We’re excited about the creative momentum the producers have established for all three of our new series, and now our fans will have the chance to see the full stories unfold for them this season.” However, that’s not all. Pedowitz is gearing up for The CW’s midseason plans, which promises even more for fans to look forward to: “With the additional episodes ordered, plus two new dramas and new reality for midseason, we’ll be able to continue our commitment to adding more original programming all year long.” Among those mid-season additions is the hotly anticipated The 100. The premise is that it’s almost a century after a nuclear Armageddon wipes out the Earth, one hundred juvenile delinquents are sent back to our home planet to assess whether or not it’s inhabitable. Of course, the show’s official synopsis does a much better job of describingThe 100’s vast and awesome premise than I can. Among the cast of The 100 are some very familiar faces to us TV addicts. One such face would be that of Isaiah Washington former star of Grey’s Anatomy. Joining Washington is Lost’s own Desmond – Henry Ian Cusick. We’ll also get to see CW alum Kelly Hu (Arrow) return to our TVs with The 100. Take a look at a clip from The 100 below: [youtube=]
