The Dark Tower has debuted it's second international trailer, and fans of the books upon which it is based will be thrilled to see one of the iconic locations in the series.

At the beginning of the trailer we see a glimpse of a beautiful town on top of a plateau. This place is called Algul Siento, also known as Blue Heaven. It is one of the most important sites in the series as described in the books. It is where the sorcerer, "The Man In Black," Walter Padick played with menacing relish by Matthew McConaughey, has gathered the breakers, a group of telepaths. Their job it is to destroy the titular Black Tower, which holds the universe together.

We are actually shown in the trailers how they go about it, as a great beam of light is seen striking at the important structure! Fans of the books would have been delighted with seeing something they have imagined before come to life in the screen.

One of the climatic battles in the books was held in Blue Heaven, which makes one wonder if that event will be featured in the upcoming movie or perhaps in a sequel?

The snippet also features more of our hero, "The Gunslinger" or Roland Deschain, played by Idris Elba, showing more of his other worldly skill at firearms as he takes on the henchmen of Walter and even seems to go one on one with the demon sorcerer as well.

The Dark Tower tells the story of Roland's fight to preserve his world which is located to a parallel dimension to our own. In order to do this he must protect the Dark Tower from being destroyed by Walter. In this quest Roland is accompanied by a young New Yorker named Jake Chambers, played by newcomer Tom Taylor, who becomes a sort of surrogate son to him.

The Dark Tower is set for wide release in the Philippines on July 28, other selected territories will follow on August 3, and it will make its way to the U.S. on August 4.
