Last night, the Final 12 performed for six spots in the America’s Got Talent: Season Eight finale.

Many performers stood out, while nerves got to others.

But whom DID YOU vote for…. America?

The America’s Got Talent recap starts here!

Before we got to the crucial results, the show took a trip to the Orville Lounge and the Olate Dogs returned to the stage.   After a rousing intro from last year’s runner-up Tom Cotter, the Olate Dogs performed their signature tricks that got them the $1,000,000 prize.

Once the Olate Dogs left the stage…it was time to get down to business.  The first acts to learn their fates were the Chicago Boyz and Kenichi Ebina.   Both acts delivered every single time they came onto the Radio City Music Halln stage, and it was a shame there was not a spot for both of them. But, alas, the spot went to Kenichi Bebina!

Innovative Force and Cami Bradley were next in line to learn their fate.  It was odd to pair both of these acts together because they are both unique acts.   For the first time since both Barbara Padilla and Jackie Evancho, AGT has a female solo singer in the finale as Cami Bradley earned the second spot.

Season Two winner Terry Fator returned to the America’s Got Talent stage for a cute 90-second piece that involved his friends Vikki the Cougar, who sang “It’s Raining Men.” He also said a fond “hello” to Howie and Howard and bickered with the female judges. Walter T. Airdale also accompanied Fator and sang “Save a Horse, Ride A Cowboy” performed impressions of Howie and Heidi.

Then it was time for more results! The third group to face America’s votes was the KriStef Brothers and comedian Taylor Williamson.  Before Nick read the result, Howard commented that America got it wrong and they eliminated someone who should have gone to the Finals! They eliminated…The KriStef Brothers!  Comedian Taylor Williamsonmoved into the third slot!

The fourth group involved the battle of the Opera Singers: the powerhouse trio Forte and classical crossover singer Branden James.   The fourth act to move forward was Forte.  But before Branden James left the stage, he thanked his employers, family, partner and fans for giving him the opportunity to perform at Radio City Music Hall three times.

This left D’Angelo & Amanda, Collins Key, Catapult Entertainment and Jimmy Rose to battle it out for the last two spots.   The fifth act was between D’Angelo and Amanda and singer Jimmy Rose (and to my surprise and utter horror), America chose Jimmy Rose!

In my personal opinion, Jimmy Rose does not deserve this spot over D’Angelo and Amanda and if he wins, it will be like Kevin Skinner all over again!

Which left the final spot to Collins Key!Before the show went off the air, Howard told him that his pacing must be better next week!

Next week, the Final Six battle it out for the $1,000,000 prize and the headlining spot on the America’s Got Talent tour!
