It has been announced that Swedish writer David Lagercrantz will take on the task of finishing the fourth installment of the book series. The novel about Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist is due out in Summer of 2015.
"It's terribly fun. It's a fantastic world to step into," David says of the book which he reveals he has already started writing.
The actress, who portrayed Lisbeth in the American remake of the first book of the series, is hopeful they continue with the American version. "I hope that they make the second one. I'm just not sure when they're going to. I mean, I hope they make it soon because I'm not getting any younger. The second one is very physical, so hopefully they'll be making it sooner rather than later," she told MTV
Noomi Rapace took on the original role as Lisbeth Salander in the Swedish/Danish movie versions; she has already starred in all three big screen adaptions of the book series, so a fourth seems within reach though no statement has been made by Rapace in regards to a fourth film.
