Marissa Jack, AKA The Golden Hippie, has always had a passion for music. Growing up in Phoenix, Arizona, she spent many of her teenage years writing her own songs, trying out different styles and rhythms until she finally found the one that represented who she was.
After moving to Los Angeles at the age of eighteen, TGH set her sights on making it big in the music world and after touring with Prince (yes THE Prince) and having received coverage from the likes of Nylon and Bullet, together with confirmation that she's set to release a full length album later this year, she's certainly well on her way to achieving all she's ever wanted and more.
Prior to that release, she's getting fans excited thanks to her new "Dancing Glorious" remix EP, which offers up an array of unique, inspiring performances as she delivers her passionate lyrics with toe-tapping, hand-clapping melodies and instrumentation (I dare you to try and not dance to the Marc Strout remix). Vocally, she has the power and prowess of Florence and The Machine, but stil ensures she puts her own spin on everything she creates.
