In anticipation of The Hobbit: The Battle of The Five Armies' theatrical release on December 17, a new tapestry poster has been unveiled, featuring key scenes from the movie. And it looks awesome!

As you can see, the smiles that once captivated the series have gone. It's time to get down to real fighting business, and it's no surprise, after the ending to the previous installment, The Desolation of Smaug. No spoilers though; if you haven't seen the second movie yet, go do it! I think we can all agree that the most awesome part of the new poster is Smaug's face off with Bard the Bowman, but paired with the tragic scene to its right, it promises to be a real rollercoaster of emotion. Remember the whole "I'm going on an adventure!" stuff from An Unexpected Journey? Yeah...well, sorry, but Bilbo is a picture of seriousness in this new poster, and we can't wait to see how Martin Freeman's character brings the trilogy to a close. If you were worried that the stretch to a trilogy was going to ruin the experience, then hopefully your confidence in Peter Jackson's adaptations has been restored. We here at PopWrapped can't wait to see how The Hobbit finally comes to an end. Has the new poster gotten you in the mood for some Middle Earth massacres? Let us know!
