Game developer Ready at Dawn has released some gameplay footage for the upcoming and highly anticipated game The Order: 1886. The clip shows two of the characters, Galahad and Pecival, navigating the streets of London while engaged in battle.
The third person shooter follows an alternate history of London where the world has been kept safe for centuries by an old order of knights who fend off half bred monsters. The story also takes an additional twist when the lower class of humans begins to rebel against the rich upper class, causing the humans to enact a form of martial law.
The game is available exclusively for Playstation 4 and, on top of being a third person shooter, the game also includes melee combat and incorporates decision paths which allows for multiple variations of the game to play out.
“We want to supplement ranged combat with something that players don’t expect,” said creative director Ru Weerasuriya on the PlayStation Blog. “You’ll see more melee modes that will give you some complex options.”
The Sony created vehicle, The Order: 1886, will be released later this year.
