We’ve arrived at the final installment of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, and the conclusion to season four. The housewives really utilized the final hour to shout all their gripes (sometimes simultaneously) and make a few semi-resolutions amongst the other women.
As we begin it’s all about Scheana. My god, I can’t tell you how tired I am of hearing the waitress/mistress and what or who she does. While I do understand Brandi’s lack of respect for her, talking about her has become tiresome. Kyle and Lisa attempt to hash out five years of past problems, some apologies are made but the tension is clearly still there. I’m assuming the Kyle and Lisa saga will be continued …
Carlton sticks her nose into the issue to be quickly dismissed by Kyle telling her, “I don’t care witchy fucking poo, be quiet!” Pure gold from an original housewife, you’ve got to love it.
Yolanda decides to make herself the host of the show which Andy seemingly condones and I couldn’t be more confused. In Yolanda’s world, its okay to chime in with her opinions but everyone else should sit in the background unless she permits them. When Joyce notes her role playing as a director, Yolanda scoffs, looking to the others and asking “Did you hear what she said?” seeking more confirmation which Andy Cohen supplies. My brain exploded.
Just when things are getting interesting we go back to … Scheana. I want to rip off my own ears at the sound of her name now. After they give more attention to the girl who desperately seeks it, the husbands appear. Well, except for David Foster, because Yolanda reminds us “He’s at his job,” and gives a smirk. Ugh, she’s so pretentious.
We learn Joyce and husband Michael have since had their house blessed because of Carlton and her magic. I have to admit, the witchcraft element was intriguing although Carlton comes off more wannabe than a practicing Wiccan.
Lisa’s husband Ken, who managed to take center stage in the drama this season, apologized to Kim for the comments insinuating that she relapsed. He added an apology to Yolanda but made it clear only for calling her stupid. It’s 10x better when the husbands throw off the shade. Ken was asked if he’d allow Brandi back in his life and he declines. Brandi cries, well maybe you shouldn’t bash your “friends” incessantly. He changes his answer to maybe, after seeing Brandi in tears, and the world cried out “Nooo!”
My final thought in regards to the future of the show and its fifth season is that Brandi, Yolanda, and Carlton must go. The original ladies, Lisa, Kim and Kyle have to stay and Joyce has earned another season. The other three are all simply catty and condescending and offer little or nothing to the franchise anymore. Keeping the originals and Joyce with a few newbie’s next year would be much more entertaining, in my opinion.
I’ll be back next year! I’ve enjoyed recapping the drama of the 90210, and look forward to what next season holds! (as long as Yolanda isn’t there to enrage me).
