Several A-list celebrities will be heading to Springfield to celebrate the Simpson’s 25th Anniversary!
TV Line first announced that Will Arnett would voice FBI Detective Gratman, who is the head of the law enforcement anti-piracy unit. He is heading to the Simpsons’ hometown to investigate if Homer illegally downloaded a film in “Steal This Episode.”
In addition to Will Arnett, it was recently announced that Daniel Radcliffe would be returning to the series.
The fan-favorite guest star, who voiced Dracula’s son in the 2010 “Treehouse of Horror XXI” episode, will voice a peculiar older boy named Diggs, whose activities Bart becomes fascinated with.
“Diggs is a combination of Holden Caulfield, Finny from ‘A Separate Peace’ and the kids in ‘Lord of the Flies’ — only a little more screwed up,” teased Simpsons Executive Producer Al Jean, who told Entertainment Weekly’s Dan Snierson, in an exclusive interview.
Besides Radcliffe, another fan-favorite guest star, Kristin Wiig, is preparing her return to Springfield as a mysterious FBI agent that will be helping Springfield’s favorite daughter, Lisa Simpson, find out why Homer is acting so strange in the episode: “Homerland.”
Arnett, Radcliffe and Wiig will be joined by Elisabeth Moss, Eva Longoria, Newsroom creator Aaron Sorkin, comic legend Stan Lee and Anderson Cooper, who will all voice characters during the show’s silver anniversary.
The Simpsons’ 25th Anniversary Season will begin airing on Sunday, September 29.
