Ever since the BBC regenerated their hit sci-fi show Doctor Who, they have formed an integral part of Christmas Day prime-time viewing here in the UK, and it appears this year is going to be no different.

Earlier today, BBC One tweeted the news that “The Time of The Doctor,” which is the 11th Doctor’s last adventure, will air at 7.30 on Christmas Night.

They also announced that the episode, in which we will see a bit more than the eyes of the new Doctor, will be a 60 minute episode, so only 15 minutes shorter than the anniversary episode “The Day of the Doctor.”

The BBC also announced that the Christmas specials of Call The Midwife and Mrs Brown’s Boys will also air on Christmas Night, with Sherlock airing on New Years Eve.  If you want to see just when all your favourite shows will air over the festive period, head to the BBC One Facebook page.

Check out the sneak peek of “The Time of the Doctor” to tide you over until Christmas Night when silence WILL fall.
