The Walking Dead’s Emily Kinney Joins The Flash As Newest Villain

Emily Kinney has been cast as The Flash’s newest baddie–The Bug-Eyed Bandit.

Emily Kinney seems to be trading zombies for superheroes after it was confirmed that she will have a guest role on CW’s The Flash!

After exiting The Walking Dead earlier this year, the actress has secured a role in the The Flash as Brie Larvan, also known as The Bug-Eyed Bandit. The Bug-Eyed Bandit has been around since the mid-1960s, and is a villain who created an army of mechanical insects to do as he (or, in this case, she) pleases.

Joining the ever-growing list of guest stars the hit CW show has nabbed, Kinney will appear in episode 18 of the superhero drama, titled “All-Star Team-Up,” which will also feature a crossover with Arrow. The episode centres around Arrow’s Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) and Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) travelling from Starling City to Central City so Ray can get some help on his ATOM suit from STAR Labs.

The Flash has done an excellent job of introducing a variety of DC’s villains that have done well in their one-off episodes. However, it would be great to get to see these villains have more than a single episode to shine.

There’s no news as to what the notorious villain will be doing in the episode yet, but we’re excited to see how Kinney will portray this gender-swapped role and look forward to seeing the episode air.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
