Looks like Tom Hiddleston can do it all! Yesterday, we brought you the news that Thor's resident villain was joining the Disney family in the film Pirate Fairy.
During the panel for the movie, Hiddleston delivered an impromptu rendition of The Jungle Book's best known song “The Bare Necessities” at the Disney’s D23 event held yesterday, much to the delight of fans.
The Thor and Avengers star sang a few lines of the classic tune, originally sung by Baloo and Mowgli in the 1967 animated film without any time to warm up his golden pipes. The crowd was quite pleased with his spot-on delivery of the Disney tune.
As mentioned before, Hiddleston will voice a young Captain Hook in the Peter Pan prequel of sorts. Mad Men's Christina Hendricks will lend her talents to the other lead character of Zarina, the swashbuckling fairy of Tinkerbell's crew.
Hendricks and Pirate Fairy director Peggy Holmes both danced alongside and cheered on Hiddleston during his performance of “Bare Necessities” at the Anaheim convention center while the crowds enjoyed the show.
This is not the first time Hiddleston has done something special for the fans for Marvel’s panels at conventions. Recently, the classically trained British actor last month appeared in-character as Loki to introduce special footage from Marvel sequel Thor: The Dark World, creating one of the most talked about moments at Comic Con.
