Despite JK Rowling's recent claim that she was done with Harry Potter, more magical goodness is on the way. It was revealed that three new ebooks are coming, fresh on the heels of The Cursed Child, which came out on July 31st. These ebooks are Pottermore treats, and Pottermore reps have been quite clear that these stories are NOT brand new content from Rowling but instead are formatted "archived content" with a few side notes that haven't been published.
And this is brilliant, really, as most Potterheads only logged on to Pottermore to get sorted and determine their wand, so this is giving fans another way to get this content. And as we all know, if it's in a book format, it's basically canon!
These three ebooks are going to be inside looks at some characters (no, not the golden trio), places and stories that weren't really vital to the main Harry Potter plot.
In no particular order, the three ebooks are as follows:
Called Power, Politics And Pesky Poltergeists, it will focus on Umbridge, Azkaban, and young Tom Riddle's time in school with Professor Slughorn, all topics which sound really cool to read about!
The second ebook is called Heroism, Hardship and Dangerous Hobbies and it's definitely the one I'm most looking forward to as it'll cover Potter favourites Remus Lupin and Minerva McGonagall.
And the last ebook is called Hogwarts: An Incomplete and Unreliable Guide and it contains information about Hogwarts and all its secrets. I'd imagine that the Room Of Requirement is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of amazing features of that school!
These three ebooks will cost around $3 each depending on where you live and have between 60-80 pages each (about 10000 words). They will be released September 6th, so we can all pretend that they're our new textbooks needed for our Hogwarts classes! Preorders are already available, so go get them, Potterheads!
