Radio City Music Hall has forced the America’s Got Talent quarterfinalists to take their talent to a whole new level.

So far, 12 acts have succeeded in impressing the judges – Howard Stern, Mel B, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum – and America and have earned a place in the AGT Season Eight Semi-Finals.

Radio City Music Hall has forced the America’s Got Talent quarterfinalists to take their talent to a whole new level.

So far, 12 acts have succeeded in impressing the judges – Howard Stern, Mel B, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum – and America and have earned a place in the AGT Season Eight Semi-Finals.

Who will join them?   Read on to find out…

The 3Penny Orchestra and Chorus were the first act to face the America’s Got Talent audience.  They put a new spin on Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.”  It was brilliant! They had beautiful harmonies and a superb arrangement.  However, it divided the judges.   Howard said they make them smile but how are they going to win the $1,000,000 prize?  I think they could go all the way!

A-

Tomboy Chloe Channel tackled The Band Perry’s “Done.” While Chloe was sassy in her performance, it seemed like she got distracted.  Howie pointed it out and Howard added that it seemed like a beauty pageant performance but said it was a good effort.

B

Champions Forever rode their unicycles onto the Radio City Music Hall stage and delivered a great routine to One Direction’s “Live While We’re Young.”  It was great to see the family of 12’s act once again, but it divided the judges.  Howard and Mel B said it was repetitive and boring, while Howie and Heidi thought it was a great presentation.

 B+

Dance troupe SensEtion took video mapping to a whole new level as they combined magic, dance, and technology for an interesting 90-second performance.  While the technology was impeccable to look at, the dancing and magic were a little boring.   The Project Runway host said they lost her interest quickly and Howard asked where the story was.   Mel B came to their defense and said she liked the technical aspect of the act.  Unfortunately, they were not Fighting Gravity, iLuminate or Lightwire Theater.

C

The Robotix tackled Black Sabbath’s “Paranoid.” It was too big of a song for the singer and the musicians drowned her.   All the judges agreed they were fans of the band but that the singer needed to step out of her shell.   I thought it was okay.  I wonder what Mrs. O would have thought about them?

B-

Aerialist Timber Brown delivered an astonishing routine that showed off his incredible strength and amazing acrobatics that received a three-judge standing ovation from Howie, Howard, and Heidi! Howie said Timber took his act to the next level and Howard said he made acrobats cool and elegant! Among the audience members that gave him a standing ovation was his mom! Rock on, Timber!

A+

Shy singer Cami Bradley tackled music legend Cher’s hit: “Believe.” She performed it acoustically and it was the second best cover of the song (since Adam Lambert’s version on Idol).   Cami made the song her own and I believe that the Burlesque actress would be very proud of her.

After seeing Tummy Talk’s performance…WHYDID HOWIE, HEIDI and MEL B PUT THEM THROUGH?They were a huge waste of time and energy! There were acts like Travis Pratt, Lil Demon, and Paul Thomas Mitchell that should have had their spot.   That act was not only completely abysmal…it was a train wreck!

F!

Comedian Taylor Williamson delivered excellent material regarding his time in New York City.  He delivered superb jokes that made the Radio City Music Hall audience laugh and received a standing ovation from Howie.   Howie and Howard said he was superb but Heidi did not like his material.  I would pay to see him in Vegas.

A

Over the break, Radio City Music Hall transformed into an ice rink for Aerial Ice’s 90-seconds.  While they stepped it up, I thought that there was not enough aerial action.  The King of All Media was pleased with them and liked the fact that they stepped it up, but Mel B was not blown away.

B+

Another act that was impressive but did not blow people away was danger act David Ferman.  While he did juggle fire with his bare hands upside down, all of the judges said he lacked showmanship.   If David needed to step up to the plate, he could have been astonishing!

B

Country singer Jimmy Rose closed the show with a superb cover of Bryan Adams’ “Heaven.”  While he is a great singer…do we need another Kevin Skinner to win? Thank you for serving our country, Mr. Rose, but I rather listen to some of the other singers that are in the competition than you any day of the week.

 C

Tomorrow night, four more acts will move to the Semi-Finals and the Backstreet Boys will perform!
