When you think of who the most influential people in the world are, who do you imagine would make it on the list? The usual answers would likely include world leaders like Barrack Obama and Angela Merkel, or billionaires like Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg.

But then again, influence is not like power or wealth. After all, a simple girl from Pakistan can touch the lives of millions with a single courageous act, without holding an office of global influence, or having enormous amounts of money.

It is for this very reason that Time Magazine's annual list of the 100 Most Influential People in the world has often baffled us with their choices.

This year's list, which Time has unveiled, includes people we expect to be up there. The likes of Nobel Laureate Malala Youzafi , Pope Francis and Barrack Obama.

Then there are those we know of and didn't expect to be there like actor, Bradley Cooper. Not too bad right? Now how about the surprising ones like, Kim Kardashian and Kanye West? If you are not a fan, it is real easy to criticize those two or make fun of Time for stooping so low. We've seen it all over the internet, people complaining about those two being in the news. But if you think about it, irritating millions of people all over the world is actually a form of influence, after all.

Other celebrities who made it on the list include: Chris Pratt, Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart and Reese Witherspoon.
