We Have Our Timon And Pumbaa For The Live Action Lion King | Lion King

Timon and Pumbaa are some of the most iconic Disney characters of all time and now we have the live-action casting of the two of them. It's weird.

Nathan Lane as the iconic Timon is going to be a hard one to top but now we have either Seth Rogen or Billy Eichner taking him on. I say either because almost every report as it listed as just Timon and Pumbaa with a rotating roulette of their names so we're not sure who is playing who. Obviously, we have our assumptions as it would make the most sense to have Rogen playing Pumbaa and Eichner taking on Timon. But hey, sometimes Disney likes to confuse us!

Either way, it is pretty strange to have Seth Rogen playing anything in a kids movie with his track record of films. Eichner is known more for yelling at people on the street, or for his less than favorable character on Difficult People. Really, this entire cast is both exciting and confusing all rolled up into one.

Donald Glover is playing Simba (which has me personally very excited), with James Earl Jones reprising his role as Mufasa (honestly a mistake if you ask me because Idris Elba is alive and well and we could have had hot dad lion Idris). Nala is still up in the air with rumors circling Beyoncé but no reports or confirmations have been released at this point.

Now, if they want to make The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride, I will gladly take on the role of Kovu and you can all sing about how I am a disgrace and I am as evil (it's as plain as the scar on my face).

Truly, this movie is going to be an interesting one to see. If it is anything like Beauty and the Beast or Cinderella, we're in for one amazing movie!
