Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Felton are teaming up this year for an American crime drama/thriller set in the 1860s. Therese is a story of a young woman, Therese Raquin, who is forced into a marriage with her cousin, Camille (Felton), and spends her days behind a small shop counter. The film depicts her illicit affair with her husband’s friend and the tragic outcome.
Fans of the Olsen sister and Harry Potter star can see the two in action in the newly released clip from the movie which is set to be released on September 27.
The clip, which was shown at the Toronto Independent Film Festival, shows Camille introducing his childhood friend, Laurent (Oscar Isaac), to Madame Raquin (played by Jessica Lange). Meanwhile Therese, who remains in the background for the clip, is left un-introduced to the young man.
Therese, which also stars Little Britain’s Matt Lucas, is based on a novel by Emile Zola written in 1867.
