Are you a lover of all things romantic like poems, prose, and just regular quote? Well, there is an app for that.
Allie Esiri, the app creator who also created iF Poems, has compiled an anthology of all famous (and not so famous) quotes about love from literature in an app called The Love Book.
According to the website, The Love Book is, “The love book interactive app invites you to read and hear great words on love and even record your own version to share across your social networks.”
“From William Shakespeare to J.K. Rowling, Alfred Lord Tennyson to Zelda Fitzgerald, here is love in all its many glorious and unpredictable forms. Whether passionate or platonic, parental or full of pain, tragic or funny, thwarted or blossoming, The Love Book app is for all those who have ever experienced love for another human being.”
As if this wasn’t enough to make you want to download the app ASAP, it includes readings from some of today’s top celebrities. Tom Hiddleston, Helena Bonham Carter, Damian Lewis, Helen McCrory, and Gina Bellman can all be heard in the app reciting different readings.
Tom Hiddleston tweeted about the about the app on the release day saying:
To put the cherry on top of the pie, according to the website, 10 percent of proceeds made from The Love Book app will be donated to Save the Children.
The app was originally supposed to be released on October 3 of this year, but was instead released today (August 16). You can now purchase The Love Book on iTunes for £1.99 in the UK or $2.99 in North America.
