Tom Hiddleston has been confirmed for a starring role in the forthcoming King Kong movie Skull Island. The film will be an origin story of Kong and center around the mysterious, monster-filled home world of the famous, giant ape. The project will be directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts and produced by Legendary Entertainment. Hiddleston has previously worked with Legendary on Guillermo del Toro's gothic horror film Crimson Peak, which will hit theaters in October of next year. The in-high-demand Hiddleston will start work on his third film project of this year, the Hank Williams biopic I Saw The Light, in Louisiana next month. No details have been released regarding Hiddleston's character in Skull Island, though fans can rest assured that the dynamic and charismatic actor will be able to match even Kong himself when it comes to screen presence! Skull Island is scheduled for a November 4, 2016 release.
