The Fast and Furious saga has added another cast member to the newest movie. Thai action star Tony Jaa has signed to appear in the newest installment, Fast and Furious 7. Jaa said in an e-mail he was a “big fan of the Fast and Furious franchise. The films are fast-paced, fun and keep the audience involved”.
Not only will this be his debut in the English-speaking movie business, but also his first outing with a major studio such as Universal. He’ll be joining the original cast with Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, who has recently been confirmed as the foe of Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto and Paul Walker’s Brian O’Conner.
Jaa’s first movie, Ong Bak: Muay Thai Warrior, came out 10 years ago with a prequel released in 2008 and a sequel in 2010. His career has only been going up ever since. It is still unknown what role will he play in the upcoming Fast and Furious movie, but we’re sure excited about it.
