Jeremy Clarkson and the Top Gear guys announce new home for the hugely popular former BBC show.

The Top Gear trio has finally announced where on earth they’ll be laying their hat for the foreseeable future and  rather surprisingly, they’ve gone with Amazon Prime.

In a move that everyone expected would see them partner up with Netflix, the current world leader in on-demand streaming, the controversial trio have announced they’ll be teaming up with Amazon for their brand new car series to be streamed on Amazon Prime next year.

Taking to Twitter to announce the news, Clarkson Tweeted below;

His co-stars Richard Hammond and James May have also taken to Twitter to share the news.

This news is somewhat of a double-edged sword as though it’s great news to hear the boys are continuing their adventures somewhere, that it wasn’t Netflix has caused quite the commotion and means many may have to take up another subscription service just to continue watching them.

Still, for those who just want to watch the boys without the constraints of the BBC, it’s going to be a fascinating story to watch develop. Welcome back, lads!
