On February 1, Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Tori Amos announced that she will be embarking on her 2022 North American tour.
This tour will include stops in Los Angeles, New York, Seattle, Boston, and Philadelphia, among others. She will be performing songs from her latest studio offering, the critically-acclaimed “Ocean to Ocean,” as well as her fan-favorite recordings.
On May 11 and 12, she will be performing at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York.
On February 2, her NPR Tiny Desk Concert will be available, which offers an intimate opportunity for her audience to experience several of the new songs live.
Her album “Ocean to Ocean” was released digitally and on CD back in October of 2020, and it had been made available as a vinyl package on Friday, January 28. “Ocean to Ocean” debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Alternative Albums Chart and No. 6 on the Billboard Album Sales Chart, which marks her tenth Top 10 appearance.
“Ocean to Ocean” is an expression of kinship and love, as well as emotional and geographical dislocation. Every song on the collection has its own identity. It tackles such subjects as environmental concerns, the restraints of the pandemic for those on the cusp of adulthood, empowerment, loss, and healing delivered with Amos’ signature urgency and passion.
In her respected career in the music business, she has been nominated for eight Grammy Awards; moreover, she was the first major-label recording artist to offer a single for download, has had her songs turned into graphic novels, and she has produced some ground-breaking music videos.
