The third and final installment of 'The Divergent Series' is coming and for the last film, Allegiant, Swedish singer and songwriter Tove Lo has the title song.  Tove Lo released her new song 'Scars' for the film and it is perfect!

We've been longing for new music from Tove Lo and she answered our wishes with this soundtrack song.  The film, The Divergent Series: Allegiant, won't be released until March 18th but the song is available now.  The album art features the films star Shailene Woodley, who portrays the main character Tris,  heroine of this post apocalyptic tale.

The song focuses on exactly what the title says it will, 'Scars'.  Tove Lo sings about how what doesn't kill her makes her stronger and that we all carry scars around with us for the duration of our lives.  Those scars can be both mental and physical.  The first line is, "Scars we carry, carry with memories, memories burnt by the dark."  She sings about tears that blur our vision and trying to see through those and the pain that all the scars and memories hold.  This isn't a feel good tune but it is about strength and overcoming the pain to live each day.  The vocals are simple, in a good way, to point out the lyrics which are the biggest part of the song.  The background music is also simple to let the lyrics stand alone.  'Scars' fits Allegiant well and should be a big hit on the charts, especially with the fans of The Divergent Series.

Take a listen below and let us know what you think in the comments section.  Is it what you'd expect from Tove Lo or a different sound?  Do you think it fits the film?  And remember, "what didn't kill us made us stronger."
