It's something Harry Potter fans have been anticipating for a very long time, and, a few months ago, we were treated to some set photographs of the cast in action. However, he now have an official glimpse of the upcoming fantasy film, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and I have to say, if there was one word to describe it, it would probably be ... fantastic?
The film, directed by David Yates (who directed ,the final four Harry Potter films), is written by J.K. Rowling herself, who wrote the book upon which the film is based. Originally a small companion to the Harry Potter books, it has now evolved into a potentially billion-dollar blockbuster franchise.
The trailer, which was released today, has Academy Award-winner Eddie Redmayne front and centre, with some glimpses of his co-stars. Katherine Waterston (who shone in the underrated Inherent Vice last year and the wonderful Queen of Earth this year) seems to be ripe for a breakout performance, and her performance here quite possibly could do that. We also catch a glimpse of Colin Farrell, who will be playing the man sent to track Redmayne's character. There was no sign of the villainous mother-and-son duo of Samantha Morton and Ezra Miller -- which I am sure was a conscious decision to save for a later stage of this film's promotion.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will be premiering on the November 18, 2016. It is a long wait, but it is pretty much known that it will be worth it. What do you think of the trailer? Let us know in the comments!
