Twitter Feuds, Comedy Edition: Rob Schneider Blocks Seth Rogen

In the latest Hollywood Twitter Feud of Some Proportions, Rob Schneider has blocked Seth Rogen for “unprompted” reasons.

Comedian Rob Schneider will not live this one down! After blocking fellow comedian Seth Rogen, Schneider has become the “butt of the joke on Twitter.” Although news outlets are currently scratching their heads as to the cause of this feud, we do know other comics will not let this “social media faux pas” slide.

Early Saturday morning, Rogen noticed he had been blocked by the Real Rob star. Kumail Najiani, Moshe Kasher, and Ike Barinholtz were quick to come to Rogen’s defense.

Even Ron Funches wagged a playful finger at the whole affair, telling Rogen he had messed up in more colorful terms. Ginger Gonzaga told Rogen she would take the block “as a compliment.”

While Schnieder has not directly addressed the incident, he did tweet something that showed his political opinion:

Schneider and Rogen have not even worked together, so what could this tiff possibly be about? One thing is for certain: other comics and fans are getting a kick out of Rogen’s reactions and each other’s comments.

We would not go so far as to call it a Twitter War, but it’s definitely a Feud of Some Proportions. The A.V. Club even described this as one of Twitter’s “perfect moments.” The site went on to say that, to Rogen and everyone watching the aftermath, the block was “apparently unprompted” but “presumably political.”

Rogen is a proud and vocal liberal, while Schneider has tried very hard to solidify his conservative comic image. The Feud of Some Proportions has been dubbed #SchneiderSnub2017.

Someone grab the popcorn; we’re going to be here for a while.
